“Two virtual training workshops hosted by LGBT Ireland “
As part of our charities drive to ensure our new and existing volunteers have the most up-to-date training when dealing with victims, our office staff along with Chairperson, Tom Brophy, attended two virtual training workshops hosted by LGBT Ireland Training Coordinator Colette O’Regan, aimed at enhancing our awareness and understanding of the issues experienced by LGBT people and their family members.
The training was excellent and it is our intention to introduce it as a module into our new volunteer training programme to ensure our new and existing volunteers have the confidence and knowledge to engage with any victim who identifies as being part of the LGBT community.
